The onX Admin Console allows administrators to manage licenses and account access for their onX for Business purchase. Admins can add users, remove users, and reassign licenses as needed.
Licenses are transferable. If an employee no longer needs access, their license can be reassigned to another member of your team without purchasing a new license.
Quick Overview
- Admins can add and remove users from the Admin Console
- Each app assigned to a user uses one license
- Removing a user returns the license to your available license pool
- Licenses can be reassigned to other employees at any time
Adding a User
To add a user, select Add Member in the top right corner of the Admin Console home screen.
Step 1: Enter the User's Email Address
Enter the email address of the person you want to add.
If the user previously had an onX account and wants to keep their saved data, make sure you enter the same email address that was used on their original account.
Double check the spelling of the email address before sending the invitation. If the email address is entered incorrectly, the user will not receive the invite.
Step 2: Assign App Access
Select which onX app the user should have access to.
onX for Business provides licensing for all onX apps. Each app you assign will use one license from your total license count.
Example:
If your organization purchased 12 licenses and one user is given access to three apps, three licenses will be used. This would leave nine licenses remaining.
Removing a User
If someone no longer needs access, you can remove them from your organization in the Admin Console.
Step 1
Locate the user in your Admin Console.
Once you have found the user you will need to select Edit on that users profile
Step 2
Locate the license(s) that the user has activated.
Select deactivate on all licenses to ensure they are completely removed
Once the user is removed, their license will return to your available license pool and can be reassigned to another member of your team.
Even after a user is removed they will show as active on your end, you can adjust this by selecting the user in the checkbox. Then change their status to Archived to indicate that you no longer need them to have a license
